&lt;p&gt;...but leftist and Democratic voters seem insistent on nominating the most leftist politician that is not bat-shit crazy, and all I&#039;m saying is that if someone expects &quot;Republicans&quot; to vote against Republican candidates, they need to do their part to make sure that there&#039;s a reasonable alternative for someone with that set of beliefs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Dave also ignores, in the same vein, that Republican voters might juts be more careful this year in the primaries, but still vote for Republicans.&lt;/p&gt;
