&lt;p&gt;...but leftist and Democratic voters seem insistent on nominating the most leftist politician that is not bat-shit crazy, and all I'm saying is that if someone expects "Republicans" to vote against Republican candidates, they need to do their part to make sure that there's a reasonable alternative for someone with that set of beliefs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Dave also ignores, in the same vein, that Republican voters might juts be more careful this year in the primaries, but still vote for Republicans.&lt;/p&gt;
