Most people don’t bother to read the Terms of Service of sites they join. Dave obviously doesn’t.
From Twitter’s TOS:
4. You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other Twitter users.
Twitter is Dave’s favorite place to abuse and harass people, though. So what are the consequences? (emphasis mine)
Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your Twitter.com account.
So… when can we expect Dave’s account to be terminated?
and lose the best source of his ‘foot in mouth’ rhetoric?
Agreed, it would shut down a fruitful fount of Daveiana. And can you imagine the flamewar that would erupt if Twitter removed an “A-lister”?
OTOH, that flamewar would be interesting as well… I’m seeing this as a win-win.
Well of course I don’t actually expect it to be canceled… but if you’re going to have such an explicit TOS, you’d think something would happen.
The biggest entertainment would be the tantrum Dave would throw, pointing out all of the people who “attacked” him on Twitter but didn’t get booted. (see, e.g., Colby Palmer)
