I should've been more clear...

I LIKE my Mac better, but it crashes (has ever since I bought it) multiple times a day and it's far slower than an inferiorly outfitted PC.

So as much as I'd love to make a full switch, it's just not in the cards.

That said, I believe that my PC is as stable as it is because I built it from raw materials instead of just getting a Dell, or something, that comes with a ton of pre-loaded crapware.

“As for the main point of his post, I agree with it. I use both Macs and PCs. My PCs work better.”

I use both macs and pcs also. My macs work far better. And If I had the choice (I don’t) I’d work strictly with macs. That doesn’t mean they’re better, or that you’re wrong. I simply prefer them. In other words, since a thousand opinions would be all over the board with that argument the best one can say is “macs/ pcs work best for me”.

The rest of your opinion is spot on, however. Winer’s opinion should be ignored for two reasons.

1. He will play with new technology for 2 minutes, not get it, and say “it sucks”.

2. He has the same relationship wth technology that he has with people. If he likes it he’ll build it up until he’s bored, or just wants to use his influence, and then he tears them down. It matters not if apple is doing the right thing or not, nor google. Winer will eventually tear them down. The same will happen with twitter. Luckily, the legions that take him as entertainment over reality is growing larger.
