Once you accept that fact that Dave is a "singularity"... a focal point for all issues then it makes perfect sense. Dave' "Vendor Relationship Management" process works like this:

Don't try to sell him stuff... if you do I'll NEVER buy it. Capice?

If you stuff is good he'll hear about it from people I trust.

"Hey, can I try your stuff... I hear it's good but I need to validate it... I'm more perceptive that a typical "user" and I leverage good stuff in my "work".

No promise or commitment I'll help you sell your stuff (see rule #1).

Hey, will there be any good stuff at Comdex? I'm ready to starting working.

PS> I could use a web service that allows me to write software and NOT have to support users by renting or buying stuff... I have too much stuff already. Afterall, there's only one Dave and that's too little Dave to go around.

Singularly special. But still working after all these years.

Investors for the idea of the month please contact be off-line and please don't try to sell me anything.
