Whatever Makes You Feel Better

Umm…

Fred Wilson noticed that on the new TechMeme list, his blog is the 6th written by a person. Mine is 1st.

The bad news for Dave is that ALL of the publications on the TechMeme Leaderboard are, of course, written by people. Of course, if he said what he really observed, that his is the top blog written by one individual it would sound much less impressive to him, because it doesn’t de-personalize all of the other, more highly ranked, pubs… which means that there are people who have more influence than he does, versus evil corporations.

It’s like saying “Yeah, in college, I was the top 6’3″ tall history major from my home county… which was 600 miles away from the school.” The question we all should be asking is… so what?
